We don’t just want you to read the Family Fitness articles, we want you to be a part of this!  Who knows more about working fitness into the crazy, busy, stressful, exciting life of a mom than...YOU?!

So here’s the deal; we want to hear from you!  If you've jumped on the bandwagon, you can inspire others to do the same!  Whether you're a personal trainer or play WiiFit with your kids, you're part of the family fitness revolution!  If you've made fitness a priority for you and your family, we want to know about it!  I want to feature your story, your successes, challenges, and tips!  Email your fitness story to kiley@macaronikid.com and you can be featured as our Macaroni Mama Gone Fit!  Just tell me what made you get fit, how you did it, how your family stays fit, how fitness has impacted your life, and what you think would inspire other moms to do the same.

Can't wait to hear from you and to "get moving" on this new adventure with all of you!

XO

Our MOMS Club of Front Royal is made up of Stay at home MOMS. We love to be active and living in the Shenandoah Valley means we want to enjoy the outdoors! In spring, summer, and fall - Several of our MOMS would meet at my house (a good central location) and throw the kids in strollers or in carriers. We would walk a very hilly route down to the river and back. The kids could get out at the river to play and we enjoyed the fresh air and company. We also would meet for strength training in my yard before heading out. With this mild winter (still too cold for walks to the river) we take advantage of any nice days and take the kids for hikes in the State and National parks nearby. The kids get exercise and we do too. We picnic afterward. Doing it with friends makes us more likely to keep doing it - and the kids love it as well. Katie Carr President, MOMS Club of Front Royal

I would love to see more articles on great trails or other places for the entire family to get out and get fit! We have a family of 7, our tiniest member just turned one and our oldest child is eleven. We love hearing out great little places where we, as a family, can go on active adventures. Last week we did a hike to Amacalola Falls and yesterday we biked, jogged, rode in a stroller on Bear Creek Trail. We would love to see a published list of places like this that are close by.

Great idea, Michelle! Family Fitness is a national newsletter, so we have subscribers all over the country. But it is a great idea to have a list going of the country's best family hiking spots. You may find something on Macaroni Kid Family Travel, another fabulous national newsletter! Thanks for the input ;-)
