A Letter from the Managing Editor: Introducing Family Wellness

I love publishing this newsletter. I spend the month gathering content, taking suggestions from you and putting together information to help you and your family on your path to wellness. This monthly column is to let you know I am here with you! I'm a mom with young children and a crazy schedule; I don't get enough sleep and have trouble eating well. We are in this together and, as a team, we can improve our lives, our families and our communities. 

October. The leaves are changing, the air has a chill, the days are noticeably shorter, school is in full swing and we start to think about the upcoming holidays. Let's embrace the calm of the season change before Halloween brings on the stress of one holiday after another!

When this national Macaroni Kid Edition was first started, it was called Family Fitness. I became the Managing Editor in 2013 and unofficially started gearing the content towards Family Fitness and Wellness. We have decided to rename the newsletter Macaroni Kid Family Wellness because that's really the focus here! Wellness covers so much more than fitness and a holistic look at family health is the best view.
