Zollipops: A Delicious Treat that is Good for Your Teeth

By Jo Beth Bootz August 10, 2018

Grandma’s house was always the source of laughter, home-cooked meals, and our absolute favorite - the candy drawer. The candy drawer was something the kids in the family looked forward to every single week. The candy drawer was home to the most scrumptious selection of sweet treats. Once I finished lunch every Sunday, I would sneak into the living room, quietly open the drawer, and take my time to select the perfect piece of candy. Each week, my taste buds were always drawn to lollipops. I adored the sugary sweetness and the fact that they lasted longer than a small piece of chocolate. I couldn’t resist them! From a young age, lollipops became a favorite candy, and I found that my doctor’s office and bank always had them available in bowls as well. My love for lollipops was strong, but my mother still became worried about the sugar content and my teeth.

As a child, I didn’t fully understand what the problem was with eating so many lollipops. As a parent, I now see the concern as my children inherited my love of lollipops as well, especially my toddler who is never happier than when she receives a delicious lollipop.

Thankfully, it took the brilliant mind of a child to come up with a solution to this issue. Alina Morse, at age 7, wondered why there couldn’t be a lollipop that was actually good for your teeth and that was how Zollipops was created! You can even read her full story online at

Needless to say, once I heard about Zollipops I was excited to try them out with my kids. We recently took a trip to Walmart and discovered Zollipops in the dental care aisle, right next to all our favorite toothpaste and brushes.

That was so fun! We located a variety of Zollipops and decided to try them out. I gave a lollipop to each of my girls in the parking lot (they couldn’t wait until we got home) and they said, after only one small taste, “Wow. These are soooooo good! Mommy, I love these lollipops.” They even asked if they could have another when they were done. I was shocked and pleased in the best way possible.

Now that I have discovered Zollipops, I keep them in my purse for extra treats and during activities when my kids are begging for a small snack. We are even going on vacation, and I can’t wait to have these for our 12-hour drive in the car. The best part is that Zollipops and Zolli Drops are sugar-free, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, kosher and made with natural flavors and colors in the USA. Now, I’m not as concerned about all those sugar bugs for one of my favorite treats of all time. What could be better?
